Welcome to The Sanctuary Bar & Restaurant.

The Sanctuary Bar & Restaurant can be found just 9 miles from Nottingham and is located in the heart of the residential community of Upper Saxondale. The stylish, laid back restaurant can seat 50 comfortably with room for more outside on our brand new terrace and if it’s just drinks and nibbles you’re after then we have a newly revamped bar area that can seat over 20 people.

The brasserie style menu majors on seasonality, making the most of local, quality produce, wherever possible, including our recently introduced beef and steak from the Longhorn breed of cattle reared at Hardwick Hall Farm in Nottinghamshire. Other classics new to the spring menu include The Sanctuary Caesar salad. beer battered fish and chips and some exciting dishes from our chargrill. Sourcing further afield, the menu also includes dishes such as monkfish wrapped in pancetta, creamed leeks and rösti potatoes and some wonderful puddings including our amazing Sticky Toffee pudding and local cheese board.

We are currently offering our Early Bird menu (2 courses £12.50, 3 courses £15) ALL evening Tuesday to Friday and Friday and Saturday lunchtimes throughout April.

Private parties are well catered for at The Sanctuary with a large function room available and a chef willing and able to deliver bespoke menus.. ideal then for those special occasions.. weddings, christenings and birthday parties.
